Nighty-night!

Well, we're just about ready to punch some straw 5000+ miles away from home.  The plane trip was actually much more pleasant than normal, at least for me - yay for mirapex!  Restless legs on an 11+-hour confinement in a metal tube in steerage (er, "economy class")... no fun.  This was by far the easiest of the 7 outbound flights so far. :)

After border checks, then getting the ton of luggage we have, then through customs, then shoe-horning that ton o' junk onto a charter bus, then a 90-min bus trip with appropriate "oohs" and "aahs" as we pass by ferris wheels, the Osaka aquarium, and Osaka Castle, then everybody reading the signs that have English printed on them (as we wonder what they *really* mean), then comparing funny Ingrish phrases... finally at the hotel.  Then foam un-sucking (relieving... relaxing... pick your weird verb), back-alley wandering (unfortunately, "Santa no Shippo" didn't look good, despite the obviously cool name)... and eventually sitting in front of a keyboard, typing this goofy blog, setting an alarm for tomorrow's rehearsal in  whatever the heck timezone we're in, and then a soft pillow, and...

...zzzzzzzzzz...
